Update: Suspect in sexual assault apprehended by police

An NWT man wanted in connection with a sexual assault has been found by police.

Twenty-eight-year-old Alex Roche was apprehended on Thursday, according to an RCMP officer.

The officer said he was not apprehended in Hay River, despite the Hay River RCMP issuing a warrant for his arrest, although the officer did not say where he was apprehended.

Roche was wanted in connection with three offences, including sexual assault, resisting a peace officer, and failing to comply with a release order.
