Hamlet and DEA elections today in Fort Liard

It’s election day in Fort Liard.

Two candidates are running for mayor of the Dehcho hamlet. They are Hillary Deneron, and Mike Gonet.

Eight candidates are running for the six seats on the hamlet council.

It’s also a large field of candidates for the Fort Liard District Education Authority, with 10 candidates running for the six positions.

Polls are open until 7pm this evening at the Hamlet Office.
