Bullet hits transport truck near Behchokǫ̀

One transport truck driver went unscathed Monday after a bullet came through the passenger window of the truck hitting the sleeper cab’s back wall.

The incident occurred on Highway 3 near Boundary Creek.

Police confirmed the truck had been hit by a rifle-fired bullet and the driver was unharmed.

The RCMP warn residents never to discharge firearms towards roads or structures, always assume firearms are loaded, never point a firearm at a person, always keep fingers off the trigger and ensure a firing safety zone.
