Two candidates in race for Deline Got’ine council seat

Dora Blondin and Roy Modeste are the two candidates following the closing of the nomination period

Two candidates will compete for the vacant seat on the council of the Délı̨nę Got’ı̨nę Government this spring.

Dora Blondin and Roy Modeste are the two candidates following the closing of the nomination period, according to a document signed by Chief Electoral Officer Graeme Drew on Feb. 10.

The election takes place Wednesday, April 5, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Délı̨nę Cultural Centre. An advance poll will be held at the cultural centre on Wednesday, March 22.

Proxy voting is available for anyone who is unable to vote in person. Such people are asked to contact Drew at 604-649-2044 or gd.drewnorth@gmail.com.
