COVID restrictions have been extended in Behchokǫ̀ as there is no clear downward trend in the number of new infections.
Dr. Kami Kandola, the chief public health officer (CPHO), says in a press release the restrictions will be in place until 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 8.
Trick or treating will not be permitted in Behchokǫ̀ and K’atl’odeeche First Nation as all are under restrictions.
There are currently 44 active cases in Behchokǫ̀, while there are 65 active cases in Hay River and K’atl’odeeche First Nation.
There are 74 active cases in Dettah, Ndilǫ and Yellowknife, three cases in Łutsel Kʼe and one case in Wekweètì.
Inuvik experienced a slight increase and is at seven cases, it was at five yesterday.
