Another case of COVID-19 found connected to Fort Liard cluster

Another case of COVID-19 has been identified in Fort Liard, bringing the total to six active cases.

All cases are considered to be from the same cluster identified over the weekend.

Health officials say they are optimistic that the rapid response will control the situation in the community.

However they believe they’re still more unidentified cases to come.

A vaccination clinic is underway today from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Additional clinics will also run on Friday and Saturday.

The NWT has confirmed 31 cases of COVID-19 in the territory.

Residents can call the rapid response team at 867-695-1655 if they feel they are experiencing symptoms.
