Darryl Marlowe re-elected as LKDFN chief

Darryl Marlowe received 179 votes to Stephanie Poole’s 58 to be re-elected as chief of the Łútsël K’é Dene First Nation.

Eligible voters could cast their ballots in person in the community and in Yellowknife. They could also vote online.

The election was called in early September, following a months-long delay due to COVID-19.

Candidates have until Oct. 11 to appeal the results.

Then there will be an election for councillors; nominations close on Oct. 15.
