The MMIWG Inquiry is failing according to the NWAC

The Native Women’s Association of Canada released its second Report Card on the MMIWG Inquiry.

Out of 15 measures, 10 received failing grades after there was no progress made on commitments during the period of January-April 2017.

The lengthy report of ten pages raises many concerns and offers solutions putting the families at the center of any decision.

The NWAC is calling for “transparency, communication, and a process that is trauma-informed and culturally sensitive.”
