Inuvik police investigating sudden death

Inuvik RCMP is investigating the sudden death of a 54-year-old man in the community.

According to a news release, police responded to a call shortly before 10 p.m. on Tuesday where a man was unresponsive.

The man was pronounced dead by medical personnel.

The release adds that the RCMP’s major crime unit and forensic identification unit are helping in the investigation.

Police did not give any indication as to what caused the man’s death.
