Green Party of Canada leader Elizabeth May will be in Yellowknife Wednesday and Thursday.

The public is invited to a community town hall tomorrow from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Northern United Place on Franklin Avenue.

According to a news release – the purpose of the town hall is to spark genuine conversation about what we can all do together to secure our future for humanity and the natural world.

All are invited to come and share their priorities, concerns and vision for Canada’s future.

According to a news release, May will be accompanied by her husband, John Kidder, who was born in Yellowknife, as was his late sister Hollywood actress Margot Kidder.

As part of their visit, Mr. Kidder will fulfil one of his sister’s last requests, to have her ashes scattered near the place of her birth.

Other events are under development and will be posted to the NWT Green Party Facebook page as they are confirmed.

The NWT Green Party will be selecting its candidate for the upcoming federal election on July 10th.
