Yellowknife RCMP investigating suspected homicide

The incident took place on 47 Street on Sunday morning.

Yellowknife RCMP are investigating a suspected homicide after a man passed away from serious injuries on Sunday.

Police were called to the scene on 47 Street shortly after 8:00 a.m. yesterday, where they found the injured man. He was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information to share, or who was near the intersection of 47 Street and Franklin Avenue between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, is encouraged to contact the local RCMP detachment at 669-1111, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or nwtnu.crimestoppersweb.com.
