Police searching for suspect in Yellowknife robbery

The suspect reportedly stole an undisclosed amount of cigarettes and bear-sprayed an employee

Yellowknife RCMP are still searching for a suspect in an armed robbery that took place on Forest Drive over the weekend.

Police arrived on the scene just before 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, where a man reportedly stole an undisclosed amount of cigarettes.

The suspect also reportedly bear-sprayed an employee who tried to intervene.

Police have not yet been able to locate the suspect.

Video footage shows the unidentified man wearing a grey hoodie, a face mask, tan snow pants with black knee patches, and black boots.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the local RCMP detachment at 669-1111 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
