The Northwest Territories is reporting two new cases of COVID-19, one in Yellowknife and another at the Gahcho Kué Mine.

A seasonal worker in Yellowknife tested positive for the virus on Sunday.

A press release says the worker and all known close contacts are isolating and doing well. An investigation has not revealed any current risk to the public.

The other positive case was discovered in an out-of-territory worker connected to the Gahcho Kué Mine outbreak.

The worker is currently in quarantine.

A total of 19 cases have been confirmed at the mine, 11 of which have recovered.
