North-Wright Airways is offering a discount for anyone hoping to ship supplies, including groceries, to those in the Sahtú.

From Aug. 20-30 North-Wright Airways will be offering 30 per cent off on general and priority cargo rates for shipments from Yellowknife to all Sahtú communities.

The airline says it is also offering free pick-up service in Yellowknife for any products people want to ship.

The Sahtú is experiencing a devastating COVID outbreak that has Fort Good Hope and Colville Lake under a containment order.

North-Wright Airways has suspended all scheduled passenger flights for Fort Good Hope and Colville Lake.

Fort Good Hope Chief Tommy Kakfwi previously said his community will be needing more supplies as it continues to lockdown to prevent further spread of the virus.

Anyone interested in ordering products for the Sahtú can do so here.
