The Government of the Northwest Territories is holding a survey to determine new regulations around vaping products.

The survey is being done in an effort to reduce the number of youth whose health has been affected by vaping or smoking, a press release says.

The survey is being run by the department of Health and Social Services.

The survey asks whether residents believe the NWT should ban the sale of flavoured vaping products, or limit the number of flavours sold.

This follows the Tobacco and Vapour Products Control Act which came into effect on March 31. The legislation enforces stricter rules around advertising tobacco and vaping products as well as the sale of the products to anyone underage.

The survey, which can can be found here, will be open from Sept. 23 to Dec. 18.
