Customers and staff will soon be required to wear a face covering while inside all Independent grocery stores in Yellowknife.
Loblaw Public Relations says the decision was made as guidelines from public health determine wearing a mask is one of the best ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19, especially where physical distancing can be hard.
The email says Your Independent Grocer locations across the country, including the two in Yellowknife, “now require employees and customers to wear masks in-store.”
However, an article by NNSL media says it is unclear when masks will be enforced.
Walmart already made masks mandatory for all customers and employees on Aug. 12.
