Fort Smith teen found safe

Updated Sept. 17: 9:30 a.m.

Shamus Martin has been found safe once again.

Police did not say where the 14-year-old was found.

This was the third time Martin was reported missing in little over a week.

CKLB asked RCMP if police can prevent this type of situation from repeating itself.

“Yes, this has occurred multiple times, but we must investigate each report thoroughly,” said Marie York-Condon, RCMP spokesperson. “Public assistance quite often provides information that may assist investigators in locating the whereabouts of a person, so we appreciate the public’s assistance.”
