Inuvik man charged with attempted murder: RCMP

Aaron Kay, a 38-year-old Inuvik man, is facing charges of attempted murder, according to an RCMP press release.

Police responded to a report of a stabbing in the parking lot of the Nova Apartments in Inuvik around 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

A man was taken to the Inuvik Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries and has since been released.

RCMP began investigating and later arrested Kay who remains in custody, the release says.

Kay will appear before territorial court on July 21.
