The City of Yellowknife is calling on you – painters, digital, graffiti artists, photographers, and more – to apply your skills to six new information kiosks being built around the city.

The city says the kiosks will reflect Yellowknife heritage, culture, and local landscape.

This contract is open to artists residing in the Northwest Territories.

Group submissions are accepted.

“The city is excited to fulfill this specific recommendation from our Wayfinding Strategy which will assist locals and visitors to move around the city and provide information on the local landscapes,” said Mayor Rebecca Alty.

Once selected, each commission is granted $1,500 in honorarium.

The deadline for application submissions is June 22, 2020.

The wayfinding kiosks will be installed later this summer.
