‘Together, We Are Strong’ campaign ends May 15

The United Way NWT  teamed up with the Yellowknife Community Foundation during the COVID-19 pandemic to support NWT community organizations; the campaign is ending on May 15, 2020.

According to a news release, the “Together, We Are Strong” campaign is about people helping people when they need it the most.

“United Way NWT is running a matching dollar campaign along with our amazing anchor donor the Yellowknife Community Foundation. Every donation, up to $50,000 will be matched by the Yellowknife Community Foundation in support of the Together We Are Strong campaign,” Meghan Kennedy from the United Way NWT said.

The two groups teamed up and began fundraising via canadahelps.org.

“We have a long and proud history of looking after one another in the NWT. Right now, we need your help to raise money and get it to organizations working to keep NWT residents healthy and strong during this pandemic,” Kennedy said.

The deadline for this program is May 15 and the two groups are seeking your help in promoting this opportunity for donors and eligible organizations within the NWT.

“We all have a role to play  to help keep our communities safe and our resident’s health,” Kennedy said.
