Plane makes emergency landing near Yellowknife Airport

Yellowknife RCMP has confirmed that they responded to a call for service before noon today regarding an emergency landing of a small plane near the Yellowknife Airport.

Julie Plourde is the Media Relations Officer for the Northwest Territories RCMP in Yellowknife, NT.

“The RCMP is assisting the Transportation Safety Board in an investigation to determine what happened; preliminary information confirms there is no criminal element involved,” Plourde told CKLB Radio. “No passengers or crew members were injured.”

CKLB Radio has contacted Transport Canada about the emergency landing. We are waiting to hear back from them and will provide more details when they become available.
