GNWT looking for input on tourism

The Government of the Northwest Territories wants to hear your ideas to improve tourism.

Over the next few weeks, the GNWT will be hosting meetings across the territory for residents to share their input on how to develop the tourism industry.

That input will go to develop the GNWT’s five-year plan for tourism investment.

“The GNWT is confident that with strategic planning, support and guidance, this sector can foster new jobs, small business ventures, investments in community infrastructure and services,” said Industry, Tourism and Investment Minister Katrina Nockleby in a statement.

According to recent government numbers, the tourism industry brought in $210 million to the territory last year.
