Yellowknife RCMP ask for public’s help as they search for missing man (Updated: found)

Update: Yelllowknife RCMP say Nelson has been located, but did not provide details on where he was found.

Yellowknife RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Eric Nelson, 47.

According to a news release issued Monday morning, Nelson was last seen about 9:00 pm on Saturday, October 19, in the area of the Pilot’s Monument, in Old Town.

Eric Nelson is described as First Nation, with short black hair, brown eyes.

He is 5’5” (167 cm) tall and weighs about 158 pounds (72 kg).

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Eric Nelson is asked to call Yellowknife RCMP at 669-1111, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, (click on “submit a web tip”) or text: “nwtnutips” plus your message to 274637.
