The Northwest Territories Liquor and Cannabis Commission (NWTLCC) will keep all its liquor stores and its one cannabis outlet open – at least for the time being – despite the coronavirus threat.
In an email to CKLB, a government spokesperson stated that the commission is actively monitoring the developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic and will act on the advice and recommendations of the Chief Public Health Officer as required.
The NWTLCC’s online Cannabis store will also remain open at this time.
Cannabis customers practicing social distancing or who are in self-isolation are encouraged to visit the online store at www.ntlcc-cannabis.ca/.
The commission states it will monitor the situation closely and adapt as required.
“At this time there are no plans to close stores and stores are not currently experiencing any supply chain issues,” the email states. “We will be assessing store hours based on the staff availability at each location and will keep the public informed of any changes.”
