Trick-or-treating will still be happening in the Northwest Territories this Halloween despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
The government of the Northwest Territories released Halloween guidelines in a press release Thursday afternoon.
Some of the recommendations include staying outdoors, frequent hand washing and keeping the group of trick-or-treaters to household members and friendship circles.
It also advised trick-or-treaters wear mittens and spend as little time at the door as possible.
The release advised trick-or-treaters to wash the mittens and immediately wash their hands for 20 seconds upon returning home.
The press release also included advice for how to run a safe haunted house.
This includes holding it outside and if inside, limiting the number of guests to 25.
