Traffic stop turns to drug bust in Fort Providence

30 grams of cocaine and 17 grams of cannabis products, oxycodone pills, and $7200 cash have been seized by Fort Providence Police.

Three adults have been arrested and charged after a traffic stop on May 16, led police to find illicit materials and other paraphernalia in the vehicle.

The vehicle has been seized as well.  “Charges related to drug trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime, and charges under the Cannabis Act are anticipated,” reads a police report.

Anyone who has information about drug trafficking is asked to contact the Fort Providence RCMP at 699-1111.
