Richard Kochon re-elected chief of Behdzi Ahda First Nation

Voter turnout was at 53 per cent

A familiar chief and council were announced in the community of Colville Lake yesterday, re-naming Richard Kochon the chief of Behdzi Ahda First Nation.

Kochone rang in with 52 votes and his brother and predecessor, Wilbert Kochon rang in with 35 votes.

The elected councillors are Hyacinthe Kochone, Ryan Kochon, Alvin Orlias, Dakota Orlias, Bobby Manuel, Sheena Snow and  Joseph Turo.

The voter turnout was at 53 per cent.
