Lottery money stolen in Inuvik

According to police, a large sum of money has been stolen from Ingamo Hall in Inuvik.

The undisclosed amount of money is from the sales of 50/50 tickets from the bingo salesroom.

The incident occurred on April 9 between 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. when Inuvik Fire services responded to a fire alarm at the Hall to find no fire. Staff then noted the missing cash.

RCMP is investigating the theft.
