Confirmed COVID-19 case at Ekati

The office of the chief public health officer has confirmed a non-resident worker has COVID-19 at Ekati mine.

“Assessment by the OCPHO is that the individual did not acquire infection from the mine site,” reads a health notice.

The individual is isolating with six other people, but health officials say there is no public risk at this time.
