COVID-19 case confirmed in Yellowknife

The office of the chief public health officer (OCPHO) has confirmed one new case of COVID-19 in Yellowknife.

According to a public health advisory, the case is related to domestic travel outside the territory.

Health officials say those on Canadian North, flight 244 from Edmonton on June 28, row four to ten may have been exposed to the virus.

All four contacts are isolating and doing well, reads the advisory.

Residents experiencing symptoms can contact Yellowknife Public Health Unit at 867-767-9120.
