A vehicle is missing from the H.H. Williams Memorial Hospital and health records “may have been accessed” after a break-in earlier this week.

The incident occurred in the early morning hours of June 21, the Hay River Health and Social Services Authority (HRHSSA) writes in a press release. The release adds this is the second reported break-in, although no details were given on the first.

“Preliminary investigation has shown that client information may have been accessed. In addition, an HRHSSA vehicle is missing from the property,” the release reads.

The RCMP is conducting an investigation and the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner has been notified.

The HRHSSA said it won’t be releasing anymore information on both break-ins until the investigations are completed.
