The boil water advisory issued in Behchokǫ̀ was lifted Friday afternoon.

The advisory was issued on Wednesday as a result of turbidity or muddy water caused by a mechanical issue at the water plant.

But the levels of turbidity have dropped to acceptable levels and the mechanical issue has been resolved, the chief environmental health officer says in a press release.

The release advises residents to run all cold water faucets and drinking fountains for one minute before use.
