The Mackenzie River/N’dulee ferry crossing near Wrigley is now closed for the season.
The department of Infrastructure closed the MV Johnny Berens on Monday night due to blowing snow and poor visibility.
It also closed the MV Lafferty near Fort Simpson, but that ferry reopened on Tuesday morning.
The MV Laffery is now on a 24-hour closure notice; the department is advising residents that it could close with little or no notice.
Both communities are under heavy snowfall warnings.
The MV Lafferty is also under a 40,000 kg weight restriction.
