One person killed in highway crash between Behchoko and Yellowknife: RCMP

One person has been killed in a highway crash between Yellowknife and Behchoko early Wednesday morning.

RCMP state in a news release that it happened at about 2:00 am on Highway 3.

Mounties state that others sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The name of the deceased has not been released.

Police have not said how many people were hurt or how many vehicles were involved.

The highway has been reopened to traffic.

The investigation is ongoing and police say more information is forthcoming.
