Line-up announced for Snowking Winter Festival

The line-up for the Snowking Winter Festival has been announced.

The festival is celebrating its 25th year and a line-up of music, arts and performance will take place during the Silver Jubilee edition of Snowking Winter Festival.

On Saturday, February 29th at 12:00 p.m. the festival will officially open with music from Yellowknives Dene First Nation Drummers and feature a  full-day of live performances.

According to a news release from Snowstorm Sally at Snowking Winter Festival, “Local music remains a central part of the Snowking mainstage, as this year’s lineup includes a diverse roster of northern musicians.”

Family weekend programming will also remain a focus according to the release as the Snowking Winter Festival will feature puppet shows, dance performances, music events and theatre throughout the month.

The Snowscastle will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily and again for the evening performances at 8:00 p.m. The castle will be closed on Mondays. Tickets for all performances go on sale the day of at the Snowcastle box office. The Snowcastle’s final day of the year will be March 27, 2020.
