Staff still aboard stranded MV Lafferty ferry

The ferry in Fort Simpson lost power in one engine from bad ice conditions on Monday.

Deh Cho ferries on closure notice

Updated Oct. 27. The Mackenzie River/N’dulee ferry crossing near Wrigley is now closed for the season. The department of Infrastructure closed the MV Johnny Berens on Monday night due to blowing snow and poor visibility. Here are the changes to NWT ferries during the pandemic

The Department of Infrastructure has posted an update to its website outlining changes to the ferry operations in the NWT. All ferries will now have a passenger limit (see below), and passengers will need to remain in their vehicles. Ferry services will also operate “on-demand” during the hours shown below….
