A missing Fort Smith woman has been found safe, and Yellowknife RCMP are saying media attention played an important role.
Thirty-eight-year-old Tanya Harry was first reported missing from Yellowknife on Oct. 1 after having not been seen since Sept. 28. One day after Harry was reported missing, Yellowknife RCMP announced she had been located “safe and sound.”
“This result was directly related to the media coverage and the RCMP would like to thank the media for their assistance,” reads a statement from police.
Harry’s whereabouts in the meantime were not disclosed.
