The main water truck in Sachs Harbour has been cleared to return to deliveries.
Last week, the chief environmental health officer sent a notice saying water deliveries from Mar. 21 – 24 had been contaminated with fuel.
The community used an alternate truck to continue deliveries while the main truck was cleaned and disinfected.
Jeremy Bird, spokesperson for the Department of Health and Social Services, said water samples from Mar. 29 did not have any traces of fuel.
However, residents that received contaminated water still need to follow the Do Not Consume advisory until their water tanks are emptied and cleaned.
The hamlet will be providing bottled water to residents and other facilities until then.
