3 new cases of COVID-19 connected to Gahcho Kué mine outbreak

The outbreak of COVID-19 at Gahcho Kué mine is getting bigger.

Dr.Kami Kandola, chief public health officer announced three news cases of COVID-19 at the mine on Feb. 19.

The workers were previously identified as contacts and have been in quarantine for a week or longer, according to a press release.

The three individuals are self-isolating and doing well.

This brings the total number of identified cases to 18.

The outbreak was declared on Feb.3.
