Fur dressing lessons offered at upcoming workshop
NWT Arts hopes to help pass down knowledge of grading, blocking tanned fur pelts

An opportunity to learn about the art of fur blocking is coming to Yellowknife later this month.
The NWT Arts Program is working with International Fur Dressers from across the country to host a special workshop on Fur Dressing in Yellowknife to help pass down the knowledge of grading and blocking tanned fur pelts.
The workshop will be free to participate, though anyone who wishes to join in will have to bring their own tanned pelt for the occasion. There are a limited number of spaces for the event, and registration will be required.
Participants have until Sunday, October 5th to sign up.
In addition to the registration, applicants must already be registered with the NWT Arts Program, live in the NWT, and be able to participate for the full two hours.
In order to register for the event, participants must provide their full name and community, phone number, and a statement confirming that they will be able to stay for the full duration of the event.
All information can be sent in to nwtarts.gov.nt.ca.
