Elections for the Dene National Chief are set to begin on July 24 at the annual Dene National Assembly in Fort Good Hope.
Nominations for Dene National Chief will open on April 29 and close on May 24.
The format is considered a hybrid of in-person and online voting, with online voting beginning on July 14.
A reminder to residents: any descendant of the Dene, who is a resident of the Northwest Territories, and whose name is on the registry of descendants of the Dene, may seek election as Dene National Chief/ Assembly of First Nations Regional Chief NWT.
