This, unless owners make arrangements concerning the snow-covered vehicles with the airport manager.

Regional Airport Manager Jason MacNeil stated abandoned vehicles are taking up space and interfering with maintenance activities at the Airport.

Then, starting May 1, drivers who want to leave their vehicle in the airport parking lot for more than one month will need to make arrangements with the airport manager to do so.

Otherwise, any vehicles left for more than one month will be considered abandoned and removed from the parking lot at the owner’s expense.

As outlined in the Motor Vehicles Act, airport managers in the Northwest Territories have authority to remove abandoned vehicles.
