The RCMP is still looking for a gun that was allegedly used in the shooting in Fort Smith in early March.
Police are asking residents to check their yards, sheds and other buildings as snow melts.
Police describe the firearm as a shotgun with green shotgun shells. If found, police are asking for them to be reported.
The incident resulted in one man dead and a youth being charged with murder.
