Boil water advisory lifted in Fort Simpson

No illnesses from the drinking water have been reported, reads a public health advisory

A boil water advisory in Fort Simpson has been lifted.

According to the department of health and social services, residents and businesses are asked to flush their water supply by doing the following:

  • Run all cold water faucets for one minute
  • Flush and clean equipment, such as soda fountains, coffee makers and ice-making machines, for one minute
  • Change all filters, carbon filters, Brita filters
  • Run water softeners through a regeneration cycle
  • Drain and refill hot water heaters; and
  • Drain and clean water tanks

No illnesses from the drinking water have been reported, reads a public health advisory.
