The office of the chief public health officer (OCPHO) has confirmed one new case of COVID-19 in Yellowknife.

According to a public health advisory, the case is related to domestic travel outside the territory.

Public health says Yellowknife restaurant Taste of Saigon is a location “where some risk of exposure has been identified.”

Anyone at the restaurant on Apr. 19 between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. is asked to self-isolate at home for the next 14 days.

Residents experiencing symptoms can contact Yellowknife Public Health Unit at 867-767-9120.
