RCMP say no timeline for more details on ‘suspicious death’ in Yellowknife

No arrests have been made, say police in a press release.

RCMP has yet to release details on a death that happened on Halloween in downtown Yellowknife.

CKLB has reached out to the RCMP and the chief coroner’s office for a specific location of the incident, arrest details, or any details it can share at this time.

“We will not be putting anything further out at this time,” says Marie York-Condon, spokesperson for the RCMP.

When asked when an update can be expected, she said, “We do not have an estimate or a planned update.

“There were two victims found on Halloween morning – one dead and the other with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to a press release, the victims were found in separate locations but are believed to be connected.

The death was deemed “suspicious” with no further details.

No arrests have been made, says the RCMP in a press release.

The investigation is on-going.
