After closing for months as a result of the pandemic, the Yellowknife Public Library will reopen Thursday at a limited capacity.

The reopening comes with restrictions including an appointment only system and reduced hours from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday.

The elevator is restricted to one person at a time, except for multiple people from the same household.

The library websites says overdue fees charged on all items currently checked out are waived with due dates extended until July 4.

Additionally, Yellowknife City Hall will be opening to the public on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Appointments for the library can be made by email at library@yellowknife.ca or calling (867) 920-5642.
