RCMP looking for suspects in third incident at gate on Highway 7

Fort Liard RCMP says it is investigating a third incident of “damage done” at the gate on Highway 7 near the British Columbia border.

The department of Infrastructure informed local RCMP of the incident, the department has since re-secured the gate.

There have been two other similar occurrences, on April 11 and May 31. According to police, charges have been laid in both cases.

CKLB has asked RCMP whether the people involved are NWT residents returning to the territory or non-residents.
