YK Chamber of Commerce cancels 2020 Spring Trade Show because of COVID-19 pandemic

The Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce has decided to cancel the 2020 Spring Trade Show because of COVID-19 and all vendors will receive full refunds.

“With 185 exhibitors and over 6000 attendees – the Spring Trade Show can certainly be classified as a mass gathering”,  Deneen Everett, Executive Director of the Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce said. “While it’s an important event for our organization and the community at large, there’s a lot of uncertainty as to what May looks like and whether we’ll even be permitted to host the event.”

Canceling the event this early allows businesses to halt their preparations and focus on their priorities during this difficult time, Everett added.

Everett says the Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce is working on compiling detailed resources for businesses, which can be found at https://ykchamber.com/covid-19-resources-information/
