Smith Landing First Nation is offering financial support to its members during the coronavirus pandemic.

The help is for food and utilities.

The first nation is offering between $200 and $500 per household depending on how many people are in the home.

  • $200 for one person in a single household
  • $300 for a household with two people
  • $400 for three people
  • $500 for four or people in a single home

For members living on reserve they can also get a one-time $300 payment to put towards their utility and heating costs.

That amount is also available to members living off-reserve that are 65 years old or older and own or rent their own home.
